Welch Family

Emily A. Stapp, The Writer

Emily is a life lover who finds joy when participating in something challenging. Usually she is found with her husband and five children in Texas. During the day, she is a homeschool mom and at night, she is planning their next great adventure or getting knee deep into another hobby. She has succeeded at sewing, gardening, raising chickens, remodeling, being a dental hygienist, painting, crafting, surviving Wisconsin winters, and dancing in the front room. This is her first book. She gets her story-telling passion from her dad, Paul, and her determination from her mom, Denise, whose favorite phrase is, ‘Do not quit!’ Emily’s favorite quote is from her Grandma Smith. “Family is all work, but it’s the best work.”

Jennie B. Larsen, The Musician

Jennie Bangerter Larsen has been playing the piano since she was 4 and LOVES writing music that uplifts and inspires! When performing for others, she loves to play “Picanote”, where 4 random people will choose a note and Jennie will instantly create a fabulous piano solo from those notes! Jennie received her Bachelor of Music in Media Music and has started her own company, Milestone Music (www.YourMilestoneMusic.com), where she writes custom songs to celebrate life’s special moments. She and her husband, Shane, have 5 amazing kids who (sometimes) enjoy rehearsing together in their family band, the Larsen Bandits! In the off chance that she’s not writing music or chauffeuring her kids around, Jennie loves riding her bike, taking her dog on a walk, and chatting with friends!

Zakary E. Stapp, The Muscle

Zak loves to build and create. He has made anything from secret reading nooks for his kids, to custom metal handrails and art. See www.TheStappStache.com In fact, he built the very CNC plasma table that cuts the ornaments from sheet metal. Some say his ingenuity nearly surpasses the impressive nature of his beard. Zak completed a bachelors in Welding Engineering from Weber State University and a Masters in Engineering Management from University of Wisconsin Madison. In the evenings, one of his greatest joys is recounting the hilarious things his five children do and say –most of which are innocently too inappropriate to mention here. He loves using his chainsaw to help with natural disaster cleanup, and living in Houston has provided ample opportunity. Zak takes annual mountain bike trips to “feel young again”, and he is currently on his longest streak of avoiding the ER.

From our Home, to Yours.

We began with the inspiration and passion to share this magical Family Tradition we loved so much, with other families in our neighborhood. We never could have imagined that our story along with beautiful hand painted ornaments and uplifting music could grow to inspire so many people!
